Project Experience

Appen has extensive experience in managing large and small international speech and language projects, often working to high levels of project complexity and aggressive timescales.

Appen’s project experience covers work in over 50 countries and 80 languages. The regions cover all continents including working in difficult environments and less-commonly encountered languages and dialects. In the past 10 years, Appen has developed a network of in-country fieldwork partners, all of whom have been trained and qualified in the use of Appen technologies, tools and processes.

Appen recognizes and accommodates the commercial imperatives of its clients, and the need to adhere to tight timescales and quality standards. By leveraging its processes and experience, and its network of fieldwork partners, Appen is able to carry out relatively large multi-country, multi-language projects cost-effectively and to agreed project deadlines.

Project capability includes all relevant data modalities, including speech (multiple environments, read speech, conversational speech), text and hand-writing.
